FOUNDATION
Editor’s Note
As the end of the calendar year draws near and the holiday season approaches, it is a wonderful time to reflect
and give thanks.
Personally, I give thanks for my family and friends and
the opportunity I have at CBF to help leave a legacy of
healthy rivers and streams and a saved Bay.
As I review these pages, so much more comes to mind:
the dedication of CBF staff, members, and volunteers
who work tirelessly every day for clean water across the
region (pages 12-13 and 18-19); the rich traditions of
our Chesapeake culture (pages 8-11); the untouched
splendor of special places in our environment (page
17); the bounty of our waterways (pages 14-16); and
the young people that will guide the future (page 20).
With still-present threats to our Clean Water Blueprint
(page 5), I also think about giving more, so that we may
be giving thanks for many years to come.
