Sustainable Development Institute,

Georgia. Mr. Sidamon-Eristoff was
appointed an Honorary Trustee in 2015
and served as a member of CBF’s Board
of Trustees from 2003 to 2014.
Additionally, he served as Chairman of the
Executive and Litigation Committees and
as a member of Nominating & Governance
Committee and Chesapeake Clean Water
Blueprint Campaign Committee.
W. Tayloe Murphy, Jr.
(Warsaw, Virginia) is an
attorney in private practice.
Mr. Murphy was formerly
Virginia’s Secretary of
Natural Resources under
former Governor Warner and a member of
the Virginia House of Delegates from 1982-
2000. He serves on the boards of Menokin
Foundation, Preservation Virginia, Virginia
Commonwealth University’s Rice Center, and
Union First Market Bankshares Corporation.
Mr. Murphy served as a member of CBF’s
Board of Trustees from 2000 to 2014.
Joanne S. Berkley (Norfolk,
Virginia) has been a leading advocate for CBF’s
efforts in Hampton Roads
for more than three
decades. Ms. Berkley was
formerly a History Teacher at Maury High
School and Manager of Family Farms. She
serves on the boards of Citizens for Fort
Monroe National Park, Ivor Foundation,
Norfolk Historical Society, The Planning
Council, Wetlands Watch, the Virginia
League of Conservation Voters, and
Hampton Roads Naval History Museum.
Ms. Berkley served as a member of CBF’s
Board of Trustees since 1992.
Lauren Gleason (New
York, New York) taught
Algebra in a New York City
public school as a Blue
Engine Teaching Fellow. A
2011 graduate of Amherst
College, she has also worked for Talbot
Energy Associates, the Legal Aid Society in
Brooklyn, and at CBF as a grassroots assistant for both the Maryland and national No
Child Left Inside Coalitions. Ms. Gleason
served as a Stanley Trustee on CBF’s Board
of Trustees from 2012 to 2014 and was a
member of the Litigation Committee.
Susan Aplin (Annapolis, Maryland) is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of
bambeco, an online retailer of sustainable
home décor and furnishings. Her career
spans more than 25 years and includes
leadership roles at Williams-Sonoma, The
Gap, The Sports Authority, and Staples.
She previously served as a member of the
board of directors of Mountain Medical,
Inc. Ms. Aplin also served as a member of
the board of advisors for MODA Solutions.
Lauri J. Fitz-Pegado (Washington, D.C.) is
a Partner at The Livingston Group, where
she leads the international, education, and
non-profit practices providing strategic
counsel to domestic and international
clients—foreign governments, U.S. and foreign corporations, non-profits, educational
institutions, and industry associations. Ms.
Fitz-Pegado currently serves as Vice Chair
of the Global Communities Board of
Trustees, and is a former chair of the
National Education Association Foundation.
Additionally, she provides services to several other organizations, including: the
University of Denver’s International Career
Advancement Program at the Aspen
Institute, the Ron Brown Scholar Program,
the Sunday Brunch Group and the Vestry at
St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. She is also a
Trustees Rotating Off the Board Incoming Trustees
