The 2015 Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education Robert Finton
Outdoor Educator of the Year award
goes to John Tapscott. Tapscott, based out of
Baltimore on CBF’s Snow Goose, follows in
the footsteps of the award’s namesake with his
enthusiasm and excellence in the field of environmental education. CBF environmental education participants remain engaged while
learning about the Bay and its rivers and
streams while with Tapscott. CBF is lucky to
have such great educators working for the Bay.
A DIFFERENCE
Amazing Student Leaders
At the Maryland Association of Student Councils Conference in March,
800 students from across the state came together to elect their new
leadership. During the conference, Jeff Rogge, CBF’s Student Leadership
Campaign Coordinator, recognized two students for outstanding leadership on behalf of the Chesapeake Bay—Devan Ogburn (above), President
of the Student Bay Advisory Council, and Kara Ritterpusch (right),
President of the Maryland Association of Student Councils. Both of these
young women have drawn inspiration from CBF’s Student Leadership program, becoming advocates for a clean Chesapeake for their peers and
future generations.
